Emergency Service Responds After Hurricane
Customer Type: Manufacturing Facility
Industry: Industrial & Manufacturing
PROBLEM
A manufacturing facility was completely shut down due to damage following a natural disaster. Due to high winds and heavy rain, flood water and mud entered the facility and contaminated the building, including the doors. Nearly all of the facility’s high speed cleanroom doors were damaged or destroyed.
SOLUTION
DH Pace quickly mobilized emergency service. Sales representatives visited the site to assess the damage and determine what work was needed. After inventorying the needs, DH Pace worked with door manufacturers to reduce lead times and get each door as fast as possible. In total, the Company removed 60 damaged doors and installed 60 fabric PVC high speed doors with stainless steel covers and components to ensure contaminants stay out of the facility’s cleanrooms. Additionally, DH Pace technicians spent over 300 service hours repairing the remaining doors.
The new doors are capable of opening at up to 96” per second and feature a tight seal and self-repair abilities to reset the curtain onto the guides if it is hit and knocked off path.
The result is a happy customer who was thrilled with the Company’s response and was able to meet their restoration schedule and get back to production with limited downtime to serve their customers and community. DH Pace offers 24/7/365 emergency service and is well-versed in responding to the unique needs of facilities struck by weather disasters.
